Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and materials (steel, concrete, prestressed).

We are seeking a Structures–Rail Project Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of rail and transit infrastructure projects. This role focuses on structural components such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, stations, and related facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support structural design for rail-related infrastructure projects, including bridges, culverts, retaining structures, and station elements
  • Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (track, civil, electrical, geotechnical) to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD, LARSA, or similar)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AREMA, AASHTO, ASTM, local/state requirements)
  • Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and condition assessments as needed
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
