Job summary

ACCIONA is leading the SR400 Express Lanes project in Georgia, a multi-year $4.6 billion infrastructure program designed to improve mobility with new express lanes and supporting facilities. The Project Engineer – Structures will coordinate field construction activities, supervise structural work, and ensure plans meet specifications while partnering with superintendents, subcontractors, and survey teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in infrastructure, roadway, or bridge construction preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field offices and job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support field construction of bridges, retaining walls, foundations, drilled shafts/piles, abutments, piers, columns, bridge decks and other structures.
• Coordinate daily structural activities with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, survey teams and other disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings and reinforcement drawings to support field execution.
• Assist with planning and sequencing excavation, foundations, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete placements.
• Coordinate concrete placements, including quantities, deliveries, manpower and testing.
• Verify reinforcement, anchor bolts, embeds and joints comply with plans.
• Coordinate survey layout and verify elevations and tolerances before critical activities.
• Assist with temporary works and construction means and methods.
• Identify and resolve constructability conflicts across structures, utilities and existing conditions.
• Track production metrics, labor, equipment, material deliveries and subcontractor performance.
• Develop look-ahead plans with field leadership for required resources and inspections.
• Prepare RFIs, submittals, field changes and as-built documentation.
