Job summary

ACCIONA in the U.S. is seeking a Project Engineer – Structures to support field construction of bridges and other structural elements on the SR400 Express Lanes project in Georgia.

You will work with superintendents, subcontractors, survey and quality teams to track progress and resolve field issues, ensuring work meets project requirements. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of field experience in infrastructure, roadway, or bridge construction.
• Familiarity with GDOT projects and knowledge of AASHTO and FHWA standards is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field offices and job sites as needed.
• Basic knowledge of cost tracking, budget monitoring, and field production documentation.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam and HCSS.

Responsibilities

• Support field construction of bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and other structural elements.
• Coordinate daily structural activities with Superintendents, subcontractors, survey teams, and project disciplines.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals to support field execution.
• Assist with planning and sequencing excavation, foundations, formwork, rebar, concrete, and structural erection.
• Coordinate concrete placements, including quantities, deliveries, manpower, and testing.
• Verify reinforcing steel, anchor bolts, and related installations meet plans.
• Coordinate survey layout and verify elevations, dimensions, alignment and tolerances.
• Identify constructability conflicts and resolve field issues with structures, utilities, and drainage.
• Track quantities, production rates, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor performance.
• Prepare daily reports and look-ahead plans with field leadership.
