Job summary

Antares is seeking a Structures Engineer I/II to design, analyze, and develop critical reactor structures, including core restraint and PHX vessel supports. You will ensure safety-significant components meet performance requirements and work with cross-functional teams in a highly constrained design environment, from concept through hardware deployment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in structural development for demanding applications.
  • Experience with hand calculations, materials selection, bolted/welded joints, load paths.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal, mechanical, and structural analyses for reactor components.
  • Define system architecture, operating limits, design margins, and CONOPS.
  • Develop calculations, specifications, and design reports for reviews and licensing.
  • Lead testing of components and systems with test articles and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with reactor, thermal, manufacturing, licensing and procurement teams.
  • Support supplier selection, design reviews, and issue resolution.
  • Present technical work at reviews and provide leadership through lifecycle.
