Antares is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer in Los Angeles to lead design, analysis, and development of critical reactor structures. You will ensure performance across development, testing, and operation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver first‑of‑a‑kind hardware under tight regulatory controls.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in complex structural systems and is passionate about solving challenging engineering problems from concept through hardware

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear Eng or related field.
• 5+ years designing structural systems for demanding apps.
• Experience with hand calcs, materials, joints, load paths.
• FEA tools to assess stress, fatigue, etc.
• Knowledge of structural design principles and materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal, mechanical, and structural analyses for reactor components.
• Define architecture, operating limits, margins, CONOPS for reliable performance.
• Prepare calculations, specs, interfaces, design reports, and justifications.
• Lead testing and validation of components and systems.
• Collaborate with reactor, thermal, manufacturing, licensing, and procurement teams.
• Support supplier evaluations, design reviews, and issue resolution.
• Present work at design reviews and provide technical leadership.
