Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience designing, analyzing, and developing structural systems.
• Experience with FEA tools to evaluate structural performance, stress, deformation, fatigue, and thermal loading.
• Experience with design standards and materials selection, bolted and welded joints.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal, mechanical, and structural analyses to support sizing and optimization of reactor structural components.
• Define system architecture and operating limits to ensure reliable performance across conditions.
• Develop engineering documentation to support design reviews, verification, and licensing.
• Lead design, fabrication, and testing of components and systems with defined test plans and validation procedures.
• Collaborate with reactor, thermal, manufacturing, licensing and procurement teams for integration.
• Support supplier evaluations, design reviews, and issue resolution.
• Present work at design reviews and provide technical leadership across lifecycle.
