Job summary

Antares is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer to lead design, analysis, and development of critical reactor structures. You will ensure mechanical and thermal performance across development, testing, and deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with complex structural systems, FEA, and ASME-like standards, providing technical leadership from concept through hardware realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years designing structural systems for demanding applications.
• Experience with hand calculations, material selection, joints, load paths.
• FEA experience: evaluate stress, deformation, thermal loading.
• Ability to communicate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal, mechanical, and structural analyses to size and optimize reactor components.
• Define architecture, operating limits, and design margins for reliable performance.
• Develop calculations, specifications, interfaces, design reports, and justifications for design reviews.
• Lead fabrication and testing of components and systems with instrumentation plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with reactor, thermal, manufacturing, licensing, and procurement teams.
