Blue Origin in the Greater Seattle Area is seeking a Structures Design Engineer II to advance spaceflight hardware. You will design, analyze, and test structural components for lunar transport systems, collaborating with NASA and partners to ensure safety and reliability.

The role emphasizes 3D CAD modeling, GD&T, and hands-on fabrication support, with opportunity to influence the full product lifecycle from design through production in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in engineering.
• 3+ years in aerospace structures or related field.
• Experience with metallic and composite structures.
• Strong 3D CAD and GD&T (ASME Y14.5) skills.
• Experience with analysis codes and structural sizing.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic piece parts, as well as integrated structural assemblies.
• Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents.
• Provide manufacturing and production support for your hardware.
• Provide technical guidance for integration and trade studies.
• Create test plans, specifications, and other documentation for flight hardware development.
