Job summary

BBVA is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join the Structured Trade Finance Solutions team in New York. You will work on origination, structuring and execution of trade financing for corporate and institutional clients, gaining hands-on exposure to the full deal lifecycle from origination to execution.

Ideal candidates are undergrad/grad students with strong academics, solid analytical skills, and proficiency in AI, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student with strong academic record and interest in corporate investment banking.
• Accounting and financial reporting acumen, including understanding of three-statement models.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in AI, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and teamwork.
• Issues connected to international trade, credit and structured finance.

Responsibilities

• Support the analysis and execution of structured trade finance transactions.
• Assist with financial, credit and transaction analysis, including risk assessment.
• Prepare pricing and return scenarios, client presentations and transaction summaries.
• Conduct research on clients, industries, commodities, countries and market developments.
• Support transaction structuring, pricing and documentation processes.
• Collaborate with Coverage, Risk, Legal and other product teams during transaction execution.
