Job summary

BBVA USA is seeking an Associate to support Portfolio Monitoring & Solutions in its New York office. You will perform day-to-day post-closing monitoring of structured financing, validate collateral and borrower reporting, and escalate emerging risks.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Legal and Operations to maintain robust monitoring and reporting processes. Responsibilities include validating reports, monitoring covenants, and supporting automation initiatives with Excel, Power BI,

Qualifications

Experience in structured trade finance or asset-based lending.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of borrowing base methodologies and collateral monitoring.
Ability to interpret credit agreements and transaction structures.
Fluency in English; Spanish language skills are valued.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing monitoring of Structured Trade & Commodity Finance transactions including various facilities.
Review and validate collateral reports, inventory reports, and borrower financials.
Monitor collateral eligibility, advance rates, reserves, and covenants.
Identify exceptions, breaches, reporting deficiencies and emerging risks.
Coordinate with Front Office, Risk, Legal, Operations and external collateral managers to resolve issues.
Support onboarding of new transactions, amendments and portfolio transfers.
