Job summary

LINX is seeking a Low Voltage Cabling Technician in Chantilly, VA to install, terminate, and test structured cabling on commercial projects. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $29.00 hourly depending on tier and experience.

You will work across offices, hospitals, schools, and data centers, with opportunities to advance from Technician I through Technician III and beyond. Responsibilities include building MDF/IDF closets, adhering to standards, and traveling to job sites within the state with occasional

Qualifications

• Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal.
• Able to operate power tools and climb ladders, with physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, and under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable runs.
• Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable per BICSI standards, NEC, and local code.
• Build and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, and wiring.
• Troubleshoot low voltage cabling issues and ensure installation quality.
