Job summary

LINX is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to install, terminate, and test structured cabling on commercial construction projects, paying $20.00 to $29.00 an hour depending on tier and experience.

You won’t be working the same building every week. LINX’s Enterprise division runs cabling into corporate offices, hospitals, K-12 and higher education campuses, small data centers, and other commercial or industrial environments so the work stays varied.

Qualifications

• Able to work on ladders and use power tools; able to lift, carry, and set up a 50-pound box or ladder.
• Own low voltage hand tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches).
• Must pass a 7-year criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable runs.
• Build and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware.
• Document every installation for compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
