Job summary

LINX is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to build out structured cabling infrastructure on active data center construction projects. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $29.00 per hour depending on Technician level, with a defined path from Technician I through Technician III and beyond.

This role involves installing, terminating, and testing cabling to BICSI standards, building MDF/IDF closets, and ensuring quality with thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Professional working proficiency in English, written and verbal.
• Must own a complete set of personal low voltage hand tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches).
• Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift, overtime, and under deadline pressure.
• Must pass a 7 year criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable.
• Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable runs to BICSI standards, NEC, and local code.
• Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware.
• Document every installation for compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts to resolve technical issues.
