Job summary

LINX is hiring Low Voltage Technicians in the Salt Lake City, UT area to install, terminate, and test structured cabling on commercial construction projects, paying $20.00 to $29.00 an hour depending on tier and experience.

Tech I–III paths exist with progression through Lead Technician and beyond; travel to job sites within Utah and occasionally nationwide is required. Strong attention to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• Tech I must be able to use ladders and power tools.
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
• Proficiency in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems (CAT5e/6/6a, fiber, coax).
• Build and maintain MDFs/IDFs and related network hardware.
• Document installations to meet standards and project specs.
• Communicate with site contacts and ensure quality workmanship.
