LINX in Chantilly, VA is hiring a Low Voltage Cabling Technician to install, terminate, and test structured cabling on commercial projects. You will travel to job sites, build MDF/IDF closets, and maintain documentation for compliance.

A clear path from Technician I through III and beyond is available, with shifts that may include overtime and deadlines. Responsibilities include working with CAT5e/6/6a, fiber, coax, and grounding; owning tools; and passing background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience with low voltage cabling and commercial installations preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must own low voltage hand tools and be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift with overtime and deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cable runs.
• Pull, suspend, fireproof, terminate, and test cable per standards and local codes.
• Build and maintain MDFs/IDFs, racks, patch panels, and network hardware.
• Document installations for compliance and provide professional workmanship.
• Communicate with site contacts to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Travel to job sites within the state; occasional nationwide travel as needed.
