Job summary

Next Level Technician in Raleigh/Durham, NC is hiring a Low Voltage Cable Technician - Structured Cabling Technician to install and test commercial cabling. Earn $17–$22/hr with weekly pay and benefits, and grow your career with a national leader in low voltage staffing.

You will pull, route, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6/CAT6A cabling, terminate data jacks and patch panels, assist with MDF/IDF rooms, and test using Fluke equipment.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of commercial structured cabling or low voltage experience.
• Basic knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling and installation practices.
• Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in commercial construction environments and at heights when required.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, dress, and label CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A cabling.
• Terminate data jacks, patch panels, and network devices.
• Assist with installation of MDF/IDF rooms, racks, cabinets, cable tray, ladder rack, and J-hooks.
• Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testing equipment.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, floor plans, and cable layouts.
• Maintain clean cable management and professional installation standards.
• Assist with fiber optic installations as needed.
• Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active commercial construction sites.
• Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety requirements.
