Responsibilities
- Pull, route, dress, and label CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A cabling.
- Terminate data jacks, patch panels, and network devices.
- Assist with installation of MDF/IDF rooms, racks, cabinets, cable tray, ladder rack, and J-hooks.
- Test installed cabling using Fluke or similar testing equipment.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, floor plans, and cable layouts.
- Maintain clean cable management and professional installation standards.
- Assist with fiber optic installations as needed.
- Work safely on ladders, lifts, and active commercial construction sites.
- Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety requirements.
Requirements
- 0–2+ years of commercial structured cabling or low voltage experience.
- Basic knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6 cabling and installation practices.
- Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in commercial construction environments and at heights when required.
- Basic hand tools and PPE required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with commercial construction or electrical work.
- Fiber optic experience is a plus.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- BICSI certification or training.
- Lift certification.
