Job summary

Next Level Technician in Richmond, VA is actively seeking Low Voltage Cable Technicians to join a long-term opportunity. The role pays $20-$24/hr with weekly pay, PTO, medical benefits, and bonuses, supporting access control, CCTV, and fiber optic systems across Virginia.

You will pull, terminate, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cables, test with Fluke testers, and read blueprints. Opportunities for BICSI-approved training and career growth are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial/industrial low voltage experience.
• Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred.
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus.
• Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots).
• Working knowledge of telecom/data networks.
• Willingness to travel to job sites within Virginia as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6 cable.
• Test installed cable with Fluke or similar testers.
• Punch down voice and data jacks.
• Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
• Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights).
• Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts.
• Install/support access control, CCTV, audio visual, and fiber optic systems.
