Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Structured Cabling Logistics Laborer to safely assist Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. Duties include material handling, installation, assembling and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems, preparing work areas, and cleaning of workspaces.

Responsibilities include assisting with fiber optic and copper cabling installations, cable pulling, routing, labeling, basic terminations, and using hand and power tools after training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions and work under supervision.
• Experience with labor tasks and basic construction safety preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of structured cabling systems including fiber and copper.
• Support low voltage tasks: cable pulling, routing, labeling, basic terminations.
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit with hand tools.
• Safely use hand and power tools; operate equipment as required.
• Lift, position, and fasten objects for installation support.
• Prepare, handle, stage, and supply materials and tools for trades.
• Coordinate material deliveries and maintain storage areas.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with assembling/dismantling systems.
