Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an Installer to safely assist Cabling Technicians on hyperscale data center projects. The role includes material handling, installation, and dismantling of low voltage carrier systems, and maintaining clean work areas.

The candidate will work under close supervision and collaborate with electrical trades to ensure precise, on-time delivery. The position emphasizes following safety regulations, using tools and equipment, and supporting a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Work with tools, such as power and non-powered hand tools; operate equipment like vibrators, pumps, drills and jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs; potential lifting up to 200 lbs with assistance; strong teamwork and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various hand tools.
• Safely use hand and power tools (drills, crimpers, cutters) after training.
• Lift, position, and fasten objects; prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for electrical trades.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace; follow standard instructions and procedures.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels; perform other duties as assigned.
