Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Structured Cabling General Foreman to plan, organize, and direct foremen and craft teams in alignment with project schedules and state/federal requirements. You will read blueprints, supervise crews, interpret specifications, enforce safety, and drive efficient work sequences to meet deadlines.

The role requires strong leadership, years of field experience, and a proven ability to manage time, costs, and resources while maintaining safety and quality on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead construction crews and foremen.
• Demonstrated teamwork and customer service focus.
• Strong communication and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and their assigned craft workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of equipment and personnel.
• Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Maintain time records.
• Make cost estimates for contracts.
• Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
• Plan work and solve problems.
• Make decisions based on measurable information.
• Operate machinery as needed.
• Lead team members by example, offering coaching and feedback, and managing performance.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
