Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a General Foreman to plan, organize, and direct foreman and craft teams to meet the project schedule and comply with state and federal requirements.

The role involves reading blueprints, supervising crews, interpreting specifications, and enforcing safety standards. You will help plan work sequences, track time and costs, and lead teams with coaching to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
• Strong teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to work according to detailed, well-defined procedures.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and craft workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Plan work sequences to meet construction schedule and allocate resources.
• Maintain time records and support cost estimates for contracts.
• Lead and coach team members, providing feedback and guidance.
