Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Structured Cabling General Foreman to plan, organize, and direct foremen and craft teams to meet project schedules and regulatory requirements.

You will read blueprints, supervise crew activities, interpret specifications, enforce safety, and optimize work sequences. The role emphasizes teamwork, coaching, and effective problem solving on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills.
• Lift up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of foremen and their assigned craft workers.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using equipment and personnel.
• Study and analyze schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Maintain time records.
• Make cost estimates for contracts.
• Lead team members by example and provide coaching.
• Build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
