Job summary

IES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets. The Field Engineer II - Structured Cabling located in West Monroe, LA will install and operate low-voltage/structured cabling systems, troubleshoot equipment and review project drawings and specs.

The role requires 4–6 years of cabling experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision on field installations and pre-construction coordination.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4–6 years of commercial low voltage/structured cabling experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).

Responsibilities

• Install and operate low-voltage/structured cabling systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform field verification of connections.
• Create shop drawings and submittals for new projects.
• Lead field activities with minimal supervision and coordinate with staff.
• Support pre-construction activities and provide field input.
