Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Structural Welder to fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel components in a fast-paced environment. You will read and interpret drawings, ensure dimensional accuracy, and adhere to safety protocols to protect yourself and coworkers.

The role requires MIG/FCAW/SMAW welding, precise measurement using calipers and squares, and the ability to work with heavy materials on-site. A valid welding certification and OSHA training are important, with a strong commitment to

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Welding certification.
OSHA 10-Hour Certification.
Two+ years structural welding experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
Proficiency with calipers, levels, squares, and tape measures.
Experience with MIG, FCAW, and SMAW processes.

Responsibilities

Analyze and translate technical drawings and welding symbols.
Join structural steel elements using MIG, FCAW, SMAW, or other approved methods.
Set up fabrication tools such as grinders and cutting equipment.
Position and secure components for welding; verify dimensions and quality.
Inspect welds for porosity, cracks, or gaps and perform corrective actions.
Maintain safe, clean workspaces and comply with OSHA regulations.
Document production output and quality inspections; follow all guidelines.
