Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and oversee automated fabrication tools and robotic welding units for structural steel components. You will manage welding cells, verify dimensions with gauges, and ensure high-quality welds while maintaining production pace.

The role requires interpretation of technical drawings, working with CNC machinery, and collaboration with quality and welding teams to meet daily output targets.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of fabrication experience, preferably with robotic welding or structural steel.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, weld symbols, and shop orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage robotic welding cells and automated machinery to produce steel beams and parts.
• Configure machines, tooling, and sequences per production orders and drawings.
• Perform fabrication of structural steel, including fit-up and layout before welding.
• Ensure welds meet quality and dimensional standards; monitor processes and adjust programs as needed.
• Maintain records of production volume, scrap, and downtime.
• Collaborate with quality and welding teams to meet daily targets.
