Job summary

Eliason Corporation in Frederick, MD is seeking a Welder/Fitter to fit, align and weld structural tube and plate assemblies according to engineered drawings and weld procedures. This role requires precision, the ability to read blueprints, and adherence to WPS standards.

Day shift, Mon–Fri, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with competitive benefits. You will operate welding machines, perform layout and fit-up, inspect welds, and maintain safety and quality in a fast-paced fabrication shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of welding certification program or equivalent hands-on welding experience (1–2 years preferred).
• Basic proficiency in MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld structural tube assemblies and components per fabrication drawings and WPS requirements.
• Perform layout, cutting, grinding, and fitting operations to prepare materials.
• Verify dimensions and alignment using measuring tools, squares, and levels.
• Perform MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding carbon steel materials.
• Maintain high-quality standards in weld appearance, size, and penetration.
• Work independently or as part of a fabrication team to meet production schedules.
• Inspect welds for conformance and report nonconformities to supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use, material handling, and safe equipment operation.
