Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced welder to operate a sub-arc welder, gouge and grind areas, and weld shafts to meet quality standards. You will repair defects and prepare parts for inspection in a heavy manufacturing setting.

The role requires welding knowledge, AWS qualification, and a minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent trade schooling. Safety and quality compliance are essential, with benefits and shift details provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Incumbent must pass AWS welder qualification test.
• 3+ years in heavy manufacturing or graduation from a trade school with 1 year experience.
• Knowledge of welding properties of a variety of metals and alloys.
• Knowledgeable of welding procedures; able to calculate formulas with basic math.
• Familiar with Valmont quality procedures and environmental policies.
• After 90 calendar days, maintain production, quality and attendance as directed.

Responsibilities

• Move pole shafts into seaming processor under supervisor directions.
• Weld, grind, and repair shafts; present to Quality Inspectors.
• Repair seaming defects as directed by Quality Inspectors.
• Operate sub-arc welder; set up equipment and perform tasks.
• Deliver on-time product; avoid manufacturing errors.
• Participate in department safety and follow Valmont safety policies.
