Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team on 2nd/3rd shifts. You will weld structural components for poles, substations, and related structures using arc welding and GMAW processes, following blueprints and work orders.

Responsibilities include planning weld sequences, operating tooling, and maintaining welding equipment in safe condition. Prior AWS/CWB certification is preferred, with strong safety awareness and quality control.

Qualifications

• Two years of welding experience in a professional environment.
• Ability to pass welding hand-on test and written assessment.
• Ability to pass and maintain welding certifications (AWS, CWB, etc.).
• Ability to read blueprints and flat sheets to weld to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products per blueprints or work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints and lay out welds with accuracy.
• Operate production tooling and welding equipment safely.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and basic fixture operation.
