Job summary

Matrix Service Company in Clarksville, AR is seeking an Ironworker (Structural) to assist journeymen with layouts, rigging, lifting and assembling structural-steel members on industrial projects. You will work with a crew to ensure accuracy and safety, following blueprints and signaling procedures on site.

The role requires knowledge of rigging, welding, and field assembly, the ability to work at heights, and a commitment to safety during all lifts and installations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in refinery maintenance, turnaround, data center or heavy industrial construction.
• Pass the Ironworker (Structural) test at or above 70%.
• Complete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client/Site specific training.
• Must obtain and maintain active, compliant status within the DISA drug testing program.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyman with layouts, rigging, raising, and uniting girders, columns, and other structural-steel members.
• Set up, inspect, and oversee hoisting and rigging equipment for safe lifting of structural-steel members.
• Signal operators during lifts using hand or radio signals.
• Align bolt holes and secure members during bolting and welding.
• Perform cuts, burns, and welds on steel members with oxy-fuel torches and arc welding equipment.
• Identify safety hazards and ensure crew adheres to safety protocols.
