Job summary

Fab Weld Steel is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex steel fabrication projects from initial design coordination through final delivery. You will serve as the central point of contact for general contractors, detailers, engineers, shop teams, and subcontractors — ensuring every project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years PM experience in steel fabrication or heavy industrial construction.
• Track record managing multiple concurrent projects valued at $1M or more.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, connection design, and erection sequences.
• Experience with Tekla, SDS/2 or similar detailing platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle for structural and millwork contracts from $500K to $10M+.
• Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate with general contractors and trade partners to ensure effective execution.
• Monitor shop drawings, submittals, and RFI logs to maintain momentum.
• Oversee procurement timeliness to align with project schedules.
• Serve as the primary client liaison from contract award through closeout.
• Lead kickoff meetings, progress updates, and post-project reviews with owners and inspectors.
• Communicate schedule changes and budget variances with solutions-focused messaging.
• Ensure alignment between internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases.
• Ensure compliance with AWS and AISC standards; conduct site visits as needed.
