Job summary

SteelFab, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex fabrication projects. You will coordinate with customers, vendors, design teams and internal departments to ensure cost-effective, on-time outcomes and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have strong organization, financial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple active projects while traveling to job sites as needed. A driver’s license and proficiency with project tools are expected.

Qualifications

• High level competency in Bluebeam, PDFs, Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: 4-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
• Preferred: Some experience in construction or engineering environments.
• Continued education in project management, organization and leadership is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Communicates regularly with customers, vendors, design teams and internal departments to satisfy needs of all parties with clarity, brevity, and professionalism.
• Utilizes all of SteelFab’s resources with financial responsibility to ensure the best possible outcome for the customer and project with respect to cost, schedule and quality.
• Creates vendor subcontracts and purchase orders after coordination with estimating to satisfy project requirements.
• Coordinates with accounting for accurate monthly pay applications to General Contractors.
• Directs Document Control Department for drawing and paperwork processing.
• Runs monthly Work-In-Process (WIP) updates for financial reporting and project cost projections.
• Attends and represents SteelFab at customer meetings and site reviews to handle communication and status issues.
• Schedules and tracks job deliveries with vendors, internal shipping, and customers to meet schedules and site requirements.
