Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience as a Structural Steel Estimator.
• Proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC.
• Strong ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and specs.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for structural steel components of construction projects.
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and related documents.
• Utilizing software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC to develop estimates.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Conducting risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and mitigation strategies.
• Presenting estimates to senior management and clients, explaining basis and assumptions.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material costs to stay competitive.
