Job summary
Jobot is seeking aPermanent Structural Steel Estimator to join our team in Austell, GA, on-site. The role requires deep experience with structural steel estimation and the ability to interpret complex drawings and specs.
Ideal candidates will have at least five years of experience and proficiency with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC. You will work closely with project teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates for high-profile projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years as Structural Steel Estimator in construction.
- Proficiency with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC or equivalent.
- Strong ability to read architectural/structural drawings and specs.
- Excellent analytical skills to convert technical info into clear estimates.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components.
- Review drawings, specs, and related documents.
- Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM, and AISC for estimates.
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers and stakeholders.
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies for cost overruns.
- Present estimates to senior management and clients.
