Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator-Structural Steel to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will produce detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects and collaborate with PMs, engineers, and the production team to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in structural steel estimation, strong knowledge of fabrication software, and familiarity with AISC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimation experience.
• Proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM.
• Knowledge of structural steel manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with AISC standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related costs.
• Use estimating software such as Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM to create accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather all necessary information for estimates.
• Review and evaluate project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
• Monitor and track actual project costs, comparing them with estimates and identifying variances.
