Jobot is seeking a Permanent Structural Steel Estimator to join our Jacksonville team. This on-site role focuses on producing detailed, accurate cost estimates for structural steel components and collaborating closely with project managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, proficiency in Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM and AISC, and a strong ability to read drawings and specs, ensuring competitive, well-supported estimates.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as Structural Steel Estimator in construction.
• Proficient with Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM and AISC.
• Strong ability to read architectural/structural drawings and specs.
• Excellent analytical and cost-estimating skills.
• Clear communicator with ability to present estimates.
• Track record of accurate, competitive steel estimates.
• Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel components.
• Review drawings, specs and related documents for accuracy.
• Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, Tekla EPM and AISC to build estimates.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers and stakeholders on requirements.
• Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies for costs.
• Present estimates to management and clients with basis and assumptions.
• Stay updated on market costs and trends to keep estimates current.
