Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering with structural emphasis.
• PE/SE registration preferred.
• 8–15 years of related engineering experience preferred.
• Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in securing own project work through proposals to new and existing clients; eventually works exclusively on own work
• Oversee a team of engineers to ensure projects are prepared on time, on budget, and in accordance with code and client requirements
• Prepare redline drawing markups and review markups for drafting department implementation
• Prepare and submit complete drawing and calculation submissions for internal quality control reviews
• Develop and actively maintain project files and records
• Mentor engineers to promote their technical development and efficiency
• Develop and monitor project budgets and contracted fees
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients for business development
• Coordinate with management, business development and marketing to promote the company
• Maintain accurate project documentation and invoicing
