TalentSource is seeking a Structural Project Manager to lead diverse structural engineering projects across commercial, industrial, and mission-critical sectors in the US. The role blends hands-on design with leadership, mentoring junior staff, and delivering technically excellent, client-focused solutions.

You will manage teams, ensure quality, schedule, and budgets, and collaborate with national clients like Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 4+ years of structural design experience for Project Manager level; 8+ years for Senior Project Manager consideration.
  • Strong client management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of structural engineering projects from design through execution.
  • Oversee internal teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
  • Translate client goals into structurally sound, code-compliant systems.
  • Create and review design calculations, structural models, and construction documents using Revit and other tools.
  • Lead construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and site inspections.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of structural engineering projects from design through execution
  • Oversee internal teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment
  • Translate client goals and input into structurally sound, code-compliant systems
  • Create and review design calculations, structural models, and detailed construction documents using Revit and other structural analysis tools.
  • Lead construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and site inspections
  • Actively participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development
  • Maintain billable target of approximately 80% through balancing design, coordination, and oversight
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • Entry Level: 4+ years of structural design experience for Project Manager level 8+ years of experience (including complex, large-scale project management) for Senior Project Manager consideration
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong client management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead projects, support cross-functional teams, and meet delivery goals
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise with Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, Navisworks, and BIM platforms
  • Understanding of contractual terms, scope development, and budgeting
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and promoting technical excellence
