McMillen, Inc. designs and builds water resources solutions, delivering projects from feasibility to commissioning. We seek a Structural Project Engineer with 5–10 years of experience in fisheries, hydropower, dams, flood control, and pump stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering from an accredited University.
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• P.E. or P.Eng. licensure a plus.
• Experience with water resource infrastructure including fishery related projects, hydropower, dams, water conveyance, storm water networks, heavy grading, water treatment, spillways, and pump stations
• Experience with FEA modeling software such as ABAQUS or ANSYS/LS-DYNA.
• Demonstrated expertise in seismic loads analysis with various methods.
• Proficient knowledge of ASCE7, ACI 318 and 350, AISC 360 and 341.
• Familiarity with FERC, USACE, USBR codes.
• Travel up to 15% of time to project sites and client locations.

Responsabilités

• Preparation of Design Documentation Reports, Technical Memorandums and other technical reports.
• Evaluate, select and apply advanced structural design techniques.
• Perform structural computations and analysis using hand calculations and software.
• Develop project details and drawings by hand or CAD.
• Edit project specifications and assist with Project Manual.
• Perform services during construction including submittal reviews and site inspections.
• Develop FEA models and present results to clients.
• Evaluate and manage planning, design and construction support services.
• Collect and analyze field data and as-built plans.
• Provide mentorship to other engineering staff.
