Job summary

Popli Design Group in New York seeks a Project Engineer to lead structural projects across New York State, mentor junior staff, and serve as the primary point of contact with clients.

You will oversee design packages using Revit, AutoCAD and BIM, develop/validate analysis models, and help guide the department's growth and quality culture.

This is a professional in‑office role with occasional site visits and travel within NY State.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• NYS PE license required or clearly stated as a must.
• Experience leading design teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Experience with structural analysis software and drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop/oversee structural analysis models and calculation packages.
• Lead design tasks for various structure types and delegate to junior staff.
• Oversee preparation of drawing packages using Revit, AutoCAD, BIM.
• Review technical documents, design plans, specs, reports, and estimates.
• Coordinate with clients and agencies to obtain approvals.
• Serve as Engineer of Record for designs under supervision.
• Travel within NYS for design investigations and construction support.
