Job summary

Popli Design Group (PDG) seeks a Senior Design Engineer to join our Civil/Site Engineering Department in New York. You will manage and assist on structural/site projects across New York State, supervise junior staff, and serve as the primary contact with clients, guiding project stakeholders and shaping department growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• NYS PE License is required; CPESC/LEED AP/ENV SP certifications are a plus.
• Experience working in a multidiscipline A/E office environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop and oversee site plans, traffic pathways, roadways, parking, utilities, grading/drainage, and hydrology/watershed modeling.
• Manage the team and delegate design tasks to junior staff.
• Review technical documents, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform quality reviews of engineering work per standards.
• May serve as Engineer of Record for designs supervised.
• Coordinate with clients, internal staff, and agencies for permits.
• Travel within New York State for design investigations or construction support.
