Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Project Engineer to serve as the technical information hub for the project, with deep knowledge of construction documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders. You will respond to questions about drawings, specs, shop drawings and change orders, while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subs, and suppliers.

This role includes progression through Step I, II, and Senior as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology and related standards.
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical training with 3–4 years of similar experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to supervise Field Engineer positions if required.

Responsibilities

• Understand project management plan components and change management processes.
• Develop procurement schedule and integrate with CPM schedule; review submittals.
• Understand prime contract, subcontracts, and purchase orders; manage budgeting and cost control.
• Maintain 'As-built' contract documents; compile close-out requirements like warranties.
• Assist with concrete form design and takeoffs for concrete and earthwork.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team members for relentless execution.
• Prepare and maintain quantity reporting, meeting minutes, and project logs.
• Prepare and review change orders and cost adjustments; distribute documents accordingly.
• Identify potential claims and mitigate effects to prevent disputes.
