Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Structural Project Engineer in Washington, DC to join a growing office and work on complex building projects across data centers, aviation, healthcare and commercial developments.

The role emphasizes leadership, client coordination, and exposure to advanced structural systems. Requires a Master’s degree, PE or EIT, 4+ years of experience, and RAM/ Tekla/ Revit proficiency; offers a hybrid schedule and strong growth with a pathway toward ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Master's degree is a must.
• Minimum 4+ years of structural building design experience.
• EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with RAM Structural System, Tekla Structural Designer, Revit, and BIM 360.
• Strong understanding of current building codes and structural design standards.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for a wide variety of building types.
• Design steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structural systems.
• Lead project tasks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and external consultants.
• Support construction administration including RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
• Participate in structural investigations, assessments, and peer reviews.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, and client communication.
• Support proposal development and business development initiatives.
