Job summary

Conrad Consulting is seeking an early-career Structural Engineer in the North Bethesda area for a hybrid role offering hands-on building design experience and strong mentorship toward PE licensure. The position emphasizes structural analysis, detailing, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of structural experience, an EIT, and a bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering, with proficiency in Revit and relevant design software.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years structural engineering experience is required.
• EIT certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, seismic and wind design is expected.
• Experience with Revit and structural analysis software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and calculations.
• Support design of steel, concrete, masonry, and cold-formed steel structures.
• Prepare structural drawings, details, and construction documents.
• Work with Revit and BIM throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects and other design professionals.
• Review RFIs and construction submittals.
• Support projects from design through construction.

We're partnered with a highly respected structural engineering firm in the North Bethesda area looking to add an early-career Structural Engineer to its growing team.

This is a hybrid opportunity offering hands-on building design experience, strong technical mentorship, and a clear path toward greater project responsibility and PE licensure.

What you'll be doing:

• Performing structural analysis and calculations
• Supporting design of steel, concrete, masonry, and cold-formed steel structures
• Preparing structural drawings, details, and construction documents

What we're looking for:
