Structural Ironworker – Immediate Start on Data Center

Job summary

MECO Group seeks experienced structural ironworkers for a Memphis-area data center project already underway. You will erect and connect conventional structural steel, unload, stage, bolt, plumb, align and inspect components while working around cranes and equipment.

Must be able to start immediately and follow site safety plans. Responsibilities include reading drawings, performing bolting and alignment tasks, and adhering to MECO quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Two years of structural ironwork or conventional steel-erection experience preferred.
• Ability to read structural drawings and identify members, bolt types, and erection sequencing.
• Knowledge of AISC requirements and fall protection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and erection plans; perform bolting, alignment and connection tasks.
• Operate around cranes and mobile equipment with proper signaling and safety.
• Complete inspections, time records, and safety documentation accurately.
