Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking an Ironworker to lay out, install, assemble and erect steel per blueprints and specs. You will work on construction sites, operate hoisting equipment, and ensure alignment and safe handling of structural members.

The role demands reading plans, fabricating parts, and coordinating with crane operators. Outdoor, physically demanding work with variable hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with related field experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine locations, quantities, or sizes of materials.
• Fabricate steel parts such as frames and beams per blueprints.
• Hoist, position, and align steel units using cranes and signaling.
• Verify alignment with plumb bobs, lasers, and levels.
• Cut, bend, or weld steel pieces with torches or welding equipment.
• Assemble hoisting equipment and riggings to move heavy materials.
• Work in construction environments through varying weather and schedules.
