Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Specialist to provide education and procedural support for Structural Heart products across a defined region. You will train interventional cardiologists, cath lab staff, and ancillary personnel on device use and deliver clinical and market data to help shape product marketing strategies.

The role requires a strong clinical orientation, 9+ years of cardiovascular experience, and the ability to travel over 50% of the time.

Qualifications

9+ years of related cardiovascular work experience; 3+ years’ of which is Structural Heart or Heart Failure implantable device specific clinical experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Territory Managers to provide case coverage and clinical outcomes.
Serve as primary resource for clinical support in surgical coverage, troubleshooting and in-service education for company products.
Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products and inform them of latest product and industry developments.
Actively engage in clinical, procedural and technical discussions linking data outcomes to messaging.
Meet with health care providers to identify clinical needs and provide feasible solutions.
Strong clinical orientation with the ability to influence various clinician personalities.
