Qualifications

Supervisory experience required
Experience with welding operations and workflow planning
Familiar with SMAW and GMAW processes and safety standards

Responsibilities

Supervises workers in welding and cutting of products and structures
Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine supplies and sequence of operations
Requisitions weld rods, weld wire, gases, and fixtures
Inspects work to maintain quality standards
Trains workers in operation of welding equipment
Sets up machines and performs trial welds
Supervises fitting and assembly of structural frames
Maintains safety and equipment maintenance practices
Reviews timesheets and supports budget and cost control
