Labor One Staffing in San Diego, CA is seeking journey-level structural welders for a shipyard project. You will perform production welding on ships and in shops to support repairs and modernization of marine vessels, following SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW procedures.

Required experience includes reading drawings and technical specs, shipyard terminology, and the ability to work with appropriate PPE per OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Must understand SMAW, FCAW, and GMAW.
• Able to read drawings, specs, and Navy/MSC/ABS standards.
• Must be able to interpret shipyard terminology.
• Physically capable to wear PPE per OSHA standards.
• Up to four years welding experience in a related field.
• Able to operate and care for welding equipment and tools.

Responsabilités

• Communicate with welding helper and fire watch to complete tasks.
• Ensure hot work area is prepared and fire-prevention protocol followed.
• Arrive on site on time and follow shift schedules.
• Work shifts and overtime as assigned.
• Provide quality work and document conditions as required.
• Follow company policy on non-discrimination and harassment.
