Job summary

Armada Inc. oversees welding operations on designated projects, ensuring work meets industry standards and client expectations.

As Structural Foreman, you will supervise welding crews, analyze work orders and blueprints, requisition supplies, train workers, and maintain quality, safety, and on-time performance.

This full-time position at shipyard sites involves hands-on leadership, budgeting, and reporting, with travel to customer facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of SMAW and GMAW-flux core.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of welding machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in welding and cutting of products and structures.
• Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine need for supplies and sequence of operations required.
• Requisitions supplies, such as weld rods, weld wire, gases, and fixtures.
• Inspects work to maintain specified standards and quality.
• Trains workers in operation of equipment.
• Set up machines and make trial welds.
• Supervise fitting and assembly of structural frames.
• Prepare records and reports about subordinates and tasks being carried out on the project.
• Work with prescribed budgets and maintain job cost control.
• Review and submit timesheets for assigned crew.
